Inspired by my favorite smells of the holidays, these zesty orange gingerbread bliss balls help satisfy a sweet craving without diving head first into the cookie jar.

  • 9 Medjool dates – Pit removed and soaked in hot water for 15 minute
  • 1/2 Inch fresh ginger – This gives you about 1 Tsp of ginger once you grate it using a zester
  • 1 TBSP ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 Cup almond butter – I used Barney Butter brand for these
  • 1/2 Tsp Allspice
  • 1/2 Cup Almond flour
  • 1/4 Cup Collagen peptides – I use Great Lakes, Vital Proteins or Bullet Proof
  • The Zest of one Orange

In a food processor, pulse the dates, almond butter, allspice and cinnamon until a paste forms. Then, grate fresh ginger and zest the orange right into the mixture, and pulse again (personal preference on how much is used here). Add in the remaining dry ingredients, and continue to pulse until a dough forms.

Chill dough for 15 minutes before rolling into balls. I love using my 1 TBSP scooper to roll the balls!

Store in the fridge for up to a week! These are my favorite “treat” or pre-workout snack.
