This Vanilla Tahini loaf serves as the base of many tasty recipes that I’ve made over the last several months. It has also given me a new found love of tahini – something that is now a true staple in my kitchen.
Full disclosure, I can’t take credit for the greatness that is this bread, as that would go to my boss and his Mom for giving me the recipe to try out. He’s from Israel and we’re always talking about different recipes with Tahini (which by the way is ground sesame for those who didn’t know) from hummus, to Halvah, to this bread.

Not only do I like to play around with the flavors of this tahini loaf, but I also like to use different pans to change things up. You can use this same recipe to create three mini bundts.

Looking for a way to change your typical loaf game? BOY do I have something for you. This tahini bread will be the new favorite in your house. Watch out #bananabread and #pumpkinbread – you got some STIFF competition with this classic vanilla tahini loaf. And best part? All ingredients can be found at Trader Joe’s.
This has also been dubbed “magic bread” because it has no flour in it. Don’t question it – it just works
- 6 TBSP Trader Joe’s Organic Tahini
- 4 eggs (flax eggs will NOT work – sorry that you had to be the one to find that out Isabelle)
- 2 TBSP Honey
- 1 TBSP Vanilla extract
- 1 TSP Baking powder
- 1 TSP Cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375.
Combine all wet ingredients using a whisk, then add the dry ingredients. Pour mixture into a well greased loaf pan.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- I have done many variations of this. Feel free to add different nut butters, fruit, extracts/flavorings, whatever floats your boat!
- This is best served warm (whether it be right from the oven or heated up in the microwave) topped with some honey or granola butter. HOLY YUM.
